We are excited to share that Cindy Moussavou was promoted to Deputy Director of Programs and Terri Iguina to Deputy Director of Operations on January 1, 2024. The nonprofit’s expanded leadership team now includes Terri and Cindy joining Beth Vann-Turnbull, HFF’s Executive Director, and reflects Housing Families First’s recent growth as the nonprofit has expanded from three programs to five since 2022.
“As Housing Families First has expanded to support more families in our region, Terri and Cindy have demonstrated incredible leadership skills,” said Beth. “We’re all thrilled that they will take on these new roles and help our organization continue to grow and meet the needs of families with children experiencing housing instability and homelessness in the Richmond region.”
As Deputy Director of Operations, Terri will lead HFF’s development, community engagement, and operations teams while providing support for operational excellence and best practices to ensure families can focus on their journey back to permanent housing. Among her notable achievements since joining HFF in 2011 are managing a $3 million campus expansion and renovation; supporting a program shift from long-term transitional housing to short-term emergency shelter; and launching the current low-barrier shelter model.
As Deputy Director of Programs, Cindy will oversee all HFF programs and continue to assist in its regional partnership efforts to expand high-quality services for families facing homelessness and housing instability. Since joining HFF in 2014, she served as HFF’s first Program Director and launched critical time intervention strategies combined with housing counseling and financial assistance to help families resolve their homelessness more quickly.
Please join us in congratulating Cindy and Terri on their well-deserved promotions!
