As another school year approaches, we at Housing Families First are reaching out to our compassionate community for support. We believe that every child deserves a fair chance at a successful education, regardless of their circumstances. That’s why we are launching our annual School Supplies Drive to benefit the families we serve.
Many of the families we assist are in transition, striving to rebuild their lives while ensuring their children have the resources they need to thrive in school. This year, we are aiming to equip over 100 children with essential school supplies. These basic supplies can make a world of difference in a child’s confidence and academic performance.
Here’s how you can help make a difference:
- Donate Supplies: We are seeking donations of new school supplies. Every contribution, no matter how small, will directly impact a child in need. A list of needed supplies can be found below or downloaded here: HFF School Supply Lists We also have a Walmart Registry: Walmart Registry
- Financial Contributions: If you prefer, monetary/gift card donations are also welcome. Monetary gifts will be used to purchase supplies that are in high demand or not commonly donated. Gift cards will be given directly to the families to buy items such as clothes and shoes. Monetary gifts can be given by clicking here or the DONATE button below. Gift cards can be mailed/dropped off.
- Spread the Word: Share this message with your friends, family, and colleagues. The more people who know about our cause, the more children we can support.
We will be collecting donations until July 26th. Donations (supplies, monetary or gift cards) can be dropped off at Housing Families First, 3900 Nine Mile Rd. Henrico, VA 23223, Monday-Friday between 9a-5p.
Your generosity will have a direct impact on the lives of children in our community who are facing challenges that no child should have to endure. Together, we can ensure they start the school year with the tools they need to succeed.
